Noise Reduction Work to the Sports Courts

Earlier this year, a group of local residents helped carry out the first stage of a noise reduction programme to reduce the ‘tshhh’ noise (similar to the sound of breaking glass) which happened when footballs were bounced against the fenced enclosure.  This work involved installing additional straps to the sports courts to stiffen the mesh panels. Second stage noise reduction will include injecting sound proofing foam into the vertical steel channels supporting the mesh panels. Volunteers are needed to help carry out this second stage work”.
