Use of WERFA Facilities

We continue to host the local police Safer Neighbourhood Team in the Pavilion. It allows them more time to do their crime prevention job without needing to return too often to Hounslow Police Station. We have spoken to them about use of our outdoor facilities during periods of restriction and they are happy to see small numbers of people making use of the park and facilities, with parents looking after their children. We hope that previous restrictions will not return and expect that everyone will continue to act responsibly. During 2021 classes have returned to the Pavilion with appropriate safety rules applied. There are notices at each park entrance reminding people of the general rules that apply at all times.

Please do bring the little ones along to say hello to Santa – he’ll have a small gift for them too, if they’ve been good, mind!

Photography Competition 2021 – The Winners!

We had some great entries for the photography competition from adults and children alike. The standard of photography was really high with technically excellent and imaginatively created images by children and adults of all ages. By far the most popular category was Nature which perhaps reflects the changed lives we’ve all had in the last 15 months, with more time to look around us and really notice our surroundings. Our small panel of judges looked not only for technical ability but for the personal stories within the images reflecting the themes of nature, family and community.

For the pictures and comments go to the Winners page.

Easter Bird Hunt

We’ve hidden 23 hand-painted birds in and around WERFA park – can you spot them all?
Use the checklist here to learn what to look for when seeking out our feathered friends and get the whole family involved!

Additional printed checklists are available in the park during the Easter weekend or download and print your copy here.

WERFA Park Annual Closure

The park will be closed on Good Friday as usual. We need to close the park for one day each year as a reminder that it’s privately owned and there’s no public right of way. Residents will be able to access their garages. It will be open again on Easter Saturday. Please follow all Coronavirus precautions.
